Who we are
Stableloops Advisory in short
Stableloops Advisory LLP is an audit and assurance support provider based in Ahmedabad, India. Our clients are licensed US CPA firms. We do not sell to their clients, and we do not compete with them.
We work in three areas and do not attempt to cover everything a firm might want offshored: employee benefit plan audits under ERISA, SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations, and internal audit including SOX 404. The three sit together for a practical reason. A plan audit team spends every season evaluating recordkeeper SOC 1 reports and testing the complementary user entity controls they assume. An internal audit team spends its year inside the same control environments. Depth in one makes the work in the other two better.
What we sell is capacity that does not create review burden. The measure that matters in this business is not headcount or hourly rate, it is how many review comments a partner writes on the file we hand over. That is the number we track and the number we report back.
How we work
Four things we hold ourselves to
These go in the services agreement, which is the only place a commitment of this kind means anything.
We work inside your methodology
Your programs, your templates, your software, your file conventions. We do not bring a house methodology and ask you to accept it, because the file has to survive your review and your peer review rather than ours.
The same people, season after season
A named senior and a named manager per firm client. They learn your review preferences and your clients. Continuity is the whole point. A support provider that rotates staff annually is selling you an onboarding cost every year.
Reviewed before it reaches you
Every file passes an internal review against your prior-season review notes before release. We track your review comments per engagement and report the trend back to you, because that number is the only honest measure of whether this is working.
We say no to work we should not take
Where an engagement would put your firm on the wrong side of an independence rule, or would require us to do something a support provider should not do, we say so at the scoping call. It costs us engagements. It is the reason firms keep us.
Security
How your clients' data is handled
This is the section your quality control team will read first. Everything below is documented and available for inspection before you send us anything.
- Work performed in your environment, or in a controlled virtual desktop with no local storage
- No removable media, no printing, and no outbound email from the delivery environment
- Access provisioned per engagement, logged and reviewed, and revoked at wrap
- Confidentiality obligations on every employee that survive the end of employment
People
Our team
Engagements are staffed by named seniors and managers who work in one practice area rather than rotating across everything the firm does. We name the individuals who would work your files, with their credentials, in the proposal, before you commit to anything.
Ask us for the credential mix on the team that would carry your work, and for two references from firms of a similar size to yours. Both are reasonable things to ask for and we will provide them.
